James Edward Hayman

James Edward Hayman of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday February 1,2024.  James was born on June 28, 1958, in Pasquotank County.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lellon Ferrell and Emily Brown Hayman.

James is survived by his sons James Edward Hayman Jr. and Michael Lee Hayman of Germany, his step daughter Nicole Dewan of Floridia, his brother Michael Hyman of Alabama, his sisters Teresa (Thomas) Cook of Roanoke Rapids, Joni (Johnie) Barefoot of Elizabeth City, Marie Beasley of Florida, Gina (Jason) Young of Florida, Tina Jones Adams of Floridia, Jenny (Matt) Cain of Georgia and Tonia (John) of Shawboro and his extended family in Carabelle, Florida.

James served his country in the United States Army, he was avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved the Sea Quarters Marina where he helped build the marina.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
