James Thomas Dixon

James Thomas Dixon, 86, of Castle Hayne passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Dixon was born in Halifax County on April 6, 1939, the son of the late Margaret Beale and William Dixon.

Surviving include his two sons: Jim Dixon (Michele) of Swansboro and Drake Dixon of Castle Hayne, his brother Charlie Dixon of Indiana, his sister Margaret Ann Dixon of Roanoke Rapids, his grandchildren Ashley Black (Trevor), Brandon Dixon (Kirian), and Jess Reece (Jake), and his great grandchildren Trevor Black and Micah Black.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 20, 2026 at the House Family Cemetery, on Dairy Road in Thelma. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com. Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to serve the Dixon family during this time.
