Howard Earl Jenkins

Howard Earl Jenkins, 50, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at his home with his wife by his side.

Earl was born, September 11, 1970, in Halifax County, son to Verla Jenkins and the late Howard Jenkins. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his niece, Danielle Carter.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Durance Jenkins; mother, Verla Jenkins; daughters, Chasidy Russell and Courtney Russell; step children, Shane Henderson, Robert Henderson, Buddy James Poythress, III, Ashleigh Ashburn, Bryan Ashburn, and Lauren Ashburn; grandchildren, Dallas Russell, Jerald Russell, Autumn Russell, Bentley Russell, Cameron Russell, Camden Russell, Christian Russell, Sophia Hartley, Noah Russell, Elijah Griffin and Elena Ashburn; sisters, Sheila Love, Pamela Hanna and husband, Garry Hanna; brother, Ricky Carter and wife, Dale Carter. Also surviving are his nephews Matthew Hanna, Troy Carter, Stephen Love, Jr., and niece, Lindsay Parsley.

Pastor James Rawls will conduct a graveside service Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Cedarwood Cemetery at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
