Hilaria Gearhart

Hilaria Theresia Gearhart, 90, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Parkridge Health in Hendersonville, NC.

She was born on March 1 ^st , 1927 in Carlsberg, Germany. As a military wife, she lived in many different cities in the US and eventually moved to and retired in Roanoke Rapids. She was a loving wife and mother who cherished her grandchildren with all her heart.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Frank Gearhart and Terry Gearhart, of Fletcher, NC and Jeff Gearhart and Kaitye O’Sullivan-Gearhart of Ocean Springs, MS, along with four grandchildren, Shauna and Kayla Gearhart of Asheville, NC and Samuel and Audrey Gearhart of Ocean Springs, MS.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on Monday, February 26 ^th at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services, 507 Highway 158 W, in Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27 ^th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Father Pius officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
