Hazel Conner Fanney

Hazel Conner Fanney, 75, of Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Hazel was born January 31, 1937 in Warren County to the late Eddie Wesley and Velma Jane Jenkins Conner. Hazel was the owner and operator of Hazels Beauty Shop in Roanoke Rapids for many years.

In addition to her parents Hazel was preceded in death by her husband William, and son Ronnie. She is survived by her sister Katherine Carlson and husband Richard of Virginia Beach, Va.; 2 brothers: Edward J. Conner and Wilburt C. Conner and wife Loretta all of Roanoke Rapids. Special nephew and caretaker of the home Edward G. Ed Conner, special neighbors Kenny and Linda Butler all of Roanoke Rapids.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Cedarwood Cemetery with Earl Cain, Minister officiating.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
