Harry "Hubert" Timothy King

Harry “Hubert” Timothy King, 94, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at home.

Mr. King was born March 14, 1928, in Roanoke Rapids, the son of the late Lucy Estelle Allen and Willie Thomas King.  He was the widower of the late Florist Howell King.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Sam King, his sister Mattie K. Moore and his grandson, Alex.

Mr. King graduated from William R. Davie High School, he worked for JP Stevens, Rosemary Plant for 3 years, Patterson Mill for 25 years, and Caledonia Prison for 15 years; a total of 43 years; he also farmed all of his life.  He loved fishing, racing, and the old blue grass music.

Survivors include his daughters:  Betty Brown (Wayne), Doris Powell (CH), Kathy Reynolds (Ken), Mary Johnston (Tony); his sons, Tim King (Terri), Bobby Lee King, Mark King (Jodeana), Henry King (Sandra) 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm on Monday, December 5 ^th in the fellowship hall at New Hope United Methodist Church.

The funeral Service will be held at 2:00 Pm on Monday, December 5 ^th at New Hope United Methodist Church with Minister Nelson High presiding.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
