Glenn Edward Garner, Sr.

Glenn Edward Garner Sr., 74 of Halifax, NC passed away peacefully at Signature Healthcare on Monday August 26, 2024, surrounded by family.  Glenn was born on June 25, 1950, in Halifax County.  He was preceded in death by his parents George Garner Sr. and Alice Garner and his son James Garner.

He is survived by his wife Gail Garner, his sons Michael Garner (Tracee Williams), Glenn Garner Jr. (Emmie), stepsons Timmy Story, Tracy Story (Liz), his daughters Michelle Salter (Nick), Rebecca Kresse (Michael), brother George Garner Jr. (Ann), sister Nancy Harper (Jerry), grandchildren; Tyler, Lexi, Heather, Noah, Hudson, Kaylee, Austin, Emma, Abby, Hailey, Matt, Grayson and Molly and great grandchild Brylee.

Glenn enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming or working in his garden.

A visitation will be held on Thursday August 29, 2024, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremations.

Funeral service will be held on Friday August 30, 2024, at 3:00pm in Smith Church with Pastor Jerry Harper and Stan Lewis presiding.

Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery.
