Gilbert Willie McCoy, 60, died at The Carrolton of Nash in Rocky Mount.
He was born in Bronx, NY on July 18, 1961, the son of James McCoy and Katie Irving McCoy. Mr. McCoy worked in security services and housekeeping prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Darnell and Irene McCoy, of Roanoke Rapids.
The memorial service for Mr. McCoy will be held at 2:00 pm Friday in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
