George "Chuck" Ovid Hux, Iii

George “Chuck” Ovid Hux, III, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home.

Chuck was born July 22, 1959 in Halifax County to the late George O. Hux, Jr. and Betty Doughtie Hux. He was also preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Bernice Braswell Doughtie and George T. Doughtie, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, George O. Hux, Sr. and Betsy Jane Hux.

Chuck loved his hunting club buddies, riding his Harley and playing cards on Thursday night with his hunting club buddies. Chuck was also a member of Royal Hart 497 Masonic Lodge of Littleton.

Chuck is survived by his uncle, Wesley Doughtie; his cousins, Timothy Hux, Willis Ellington, Sandra Smith, Carolyn Scruggs, Beth Edwards, Carl Doughtie, Emery Doughtie, Ann Rogers, Lynn Liosatos, Glenda Moore, Shelia Doughtie, Michael Doughtie, Diane McKnight, Leeann Doughtie, Jennifer Gautier, Tommy Doughtie and his special companion Remi.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Cedarwood Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the home of his cousin, Beth Edwards.
