Gary Thomas Pruden

Gary Thomas Pruden, 66, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in ECU Medical Center in Greenville. NC.  Mr. Pruden was born in Halifax County, the son of Dorothy Thacker and Thomas Martin Pruden.

Mr. Pruden was a member of Central Baptist, he loved the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Hurricanes, watching Nascar, along with cooking.

Surviving include his wife Vicki Dozier Pruden, his son Tyler Pruden (Jillian) of Roanoke Rapids, his daughter Starla Lindsey (Brandon) of Lucama, his sister Wanda Hill (Scott) of Georgetown, SC, and his grandchildren:  Tripp Tetterton, Oaklyn Lindsey, and Elowyn Pruden.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025 in Central Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Tondee officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
