Gary Wayne Hobbs

Gary Wayne Hobbs, 29, of 1457 E. Chaloner Drive, Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, February 6, 2012.

He was born on June 11, 1982, to Rocky Hobbs and Brenda Bowen, of Roanoke Rapids, and loved everybody and loved life. God gave his family a great blessing in a wonderful son.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Bowen, and his father, Rocky Hobbs and his step-mother, Nancy, of Roanoke Rapids; his brothers: Troy Faulkner of Danville, Virginia, Shawn Faulkner of Roanoke Rapids, and Little Marvin Stanley of Hickory; niece, Catelynn Faulkner, his uncle, Arnold Dail and wife, Sheila, of California; his aunt, Barbara Ann Johnson and husband, Buddy, of Littleton; his girl friend, Lauren Jones, of Blackstone, Virginia, and his close friend, Marie Britton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012, at 2:00 P. M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements. Rev. David Martin and Rev. D. A. Leonard will officiate.Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 7:00 to 8:30 P. M. and other times at the home of Marshall and Marie Thomason, 1873 Three Bridges Road.
