Frank Allen Causey

Frank Allen Causey, 79 of East Chaloner Drive, Roanoke Rapids died Monday, June 9, 2014 at Brian Center in Windsor, NC.

Mr. Causey was born August 10, 1934 in Pitt County to the late Floyd John Causey and Eva Taylor Causey. He was also preceded in death by his brother: Phillip Causey ; and a niece: Susan Campbell.

Frank was an active member of Park Baptist Church. He retired from NCDMV as a Drivers License Examiner after 30 years of service. The last 8 years he worked part-time at Hockaday Funeral Home. Frank never met a stranger, was involved in numerous civic organizations in his community. He was also a former post commander of American Legion Shaw-May Post 38.

He is survived by his wife Eleanor Price Causey; two sons: Terry Allen Causey and his wife Deborah of Chapel Hill, Dale Lyn Causey and his wife Koren of Wilson; five brothers: Floyd Causey, Jr. of Kansas, Alvah Causey of Texas, David Causey of South Carolina, Bruce Causey of Greenville, NC and Louis Causey of Apex, NC; four sisters: Pearlie Braun, Annie Jane Campbell both of Maryland, Irene Williams and Margie Hauck both of Rocky Mount, NC. Two grandchildren: Joshua Causey and his wife Amanda and Jessica Brooke Causey; two great grandchildren: Avery Causey and Carson Ogburn.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Gaskins and Rev. C.B. Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:30 P.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 and other times at the home. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
