Frances Louise Robbins Cloherty

Frances Louise Cloherty, 93, formerly of North Huntingdon, PA, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 in Roanoke Rapids Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Cloherty was born April 22, 1920 in Fayette County, PA to the late Alfred Robbins and Elizabeth Wagett Robbins. She was in business with her husband as a news dealer in the Irwin-North Huntingdon, PA area for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cloherty is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Cloherty; son, John Jack Cloherty; sister, Jean Livengood, and brother, Alfred Robbins, Jr.

Surviving are her two daughters, Darilyn Ruda and husband, Jim, of Melbourne, FL, and Danida Hershberger and husband, Bob, of Roanoke Rapids; sister, Geraldine McCandless of Connellsville, PA, and six grandchildren, James Ruda and wife, Lynn, Tammi Sizemore and husband Greg, Kris Ruda, Kelly Sparks and husband, William, Erin DuPre and husband, Ryan, and Leah Williams and husband, Jason. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 7-9 pm. Rev. Cory B. Oliver will conduct services in the chapel at Hockaday, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

Friday, October 25, 2013 the family will receive friends at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. from 11:00 am 1:30 pm with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, PA.
