Floye Jean Cox

Floye Jean Winters Cox, 73, of Halifax passed away, Monday, July 8, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Floye was born May 14, 1946 in Washington County, MS to the late Francis Marion Winters and Sarah Jane Winter Winters. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sky and Billy; three sisters, Kay, Dot and Barbara.

Floye is survived by her husband, Mike Cox of the home; her brothers, Roby Winters and his wife Olinda of Arcola, MS and Bunky Winters and his wife Joy of Hollandale, MS; her sister Jane Fields and her husband Harvey of Charleston, SC.

A memorial service to celebrate Floye’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 20, 2019 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Harvey Fields officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
