Flossie Thompson Deberry

Flossie Thompson DeBerry, of Jackson, died Sunday November 18, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare in Roanoke Rapids.

Flossie was born August 21, 1922 to the late Annie Camp and Eddy Wilson Thompson and had recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Garland Winfrey DeBerry; brothers Paul and Pealie Thompson; Sisters Zettie Hines, Nokomis Jordan, and Fleeta Jordan.

She is survived by her children: Judy Harvin and her husband Bob of Garner, Ronald DeBerry and his wife Elaine, and Dorothy Conner and her husband Donald of Gaston; Twin Grandsons: Chris DeBerry and his wife Kathy and Kevin DeBerry and his wife Tammy; Step-grandsons: Bill Cooke and his wife Robin and Michael Cooke; Great-grandsons: Jacob and Gannon DeBerry; Step-great grandchildren: Amber and Dillion Ruble, Will, Ryan, and MJ Cooke; Step-great-great grandson:Brett Peterson, and several nieces and nephews.

Chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Billy Meinsen, Minister officiating. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids.
