Faye Blowe Wright

Faye B. Wright, 87, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at her home.  Faye was born April 3, 1936, in Halifax County to the late Clifton Lee Blowe and Burla Edmonson Blowe.  She is preceded in death by her husband James “Choo Choo” Wright, II, and her grandson Garrett Reynolds.

She is survived by her son Jay Wright, her daughter Lisa Pratt Johnson (Johnny); her brother Billy Blowe (Barbara); sister-in-law Lorene Lyles; grandchildren Morgan Wright, Destiny Pratt, Joanna Johnson, Joy Jones (Marty); great grandchildren Swayze, Gabby, Bella, Logan, and Carter; her special friend Helen Harp; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Liberty Hospice and the third-floor nurses at ECU North Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Eddie Eckard officiating.  The visitation will be 1:00PM -1:45PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
