Evelyn "Patsy" Paige Starke-Hall

Evelyn Paige “Patsy” Starke-Hall passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 81.

She was born to the late Ashby Child Starke and Florence Nelson Starke.  Patsy was also preceded in death by her brothers, William “Bill” Starke of Manakin Sabot, VA, Donald Starke of Emporia, VA; her sister, Loretta Starke Jordan of Williamsburg, VA; and a grandson, Daryl Joyner of Wilmington, NC.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold Hall of Gaston; daughters, Janice Borrell (Trez) of Roanoke Rapids, Lisa Allen (Wayne) and Nancy Cooke, both of Rocky Mount; step-son, David Hall (Mary) of Lanexa, VA; grandchildren, Christopher Borell (Jessica) of Charleston, SC, Scott Borrell (Kayla) of Roanoke Rapids, Matthew Joyner and Carrie Smith (Eric), all of Raleigh, Michelle Smith of Greenville; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Xavier, Tristan, Everett, and Meredith; brothers and sisters, Ashby “Red” Starke, Roger Starke, and Regina Ashby.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 pm Tuesday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Pastor Matthew Smith will preside.  Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
