Eula Matthews Morgan Norris, 89, of Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter the late William Gray and Katherine Byrd Matthews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Jim Charles Norris, daughters, Amy Roberta Morgan, Dianne M. Richardson, and grandson, Tony Moore; sisters, Alice Louise Pruden and Mary Peg Mobley; brothers, Alvis Sidney Matthews and William Hardy Matthews.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy M. Sullivan, Nancy M. Gums (Bobby) and Susan M. Cook (Wayne); grandchildren, Fern Moore, Angel Gray (Jimmy), Marco Sullivan, Bryan Rodwell (Stacey) and Krystal Elliott (Jamie) and great- grandchildren, Andrea Porch, Chassie Porch, Cierra Medlin, Sydney Rodwell, Morgan Elliott and Holly Moore.

She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family pets, most of all, she loved her Lord, as her constant prayers in the last months were of her desire to be with him. She is finally home and the celebration has begun.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, May 13, 2016, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016, in the chapel at Hockaday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Waters officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family would like to thank the staff at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Liberty Commons and Atlas Medical Transport for their love and care during the last months of her life.
