Etta Burke Aycock Carlisle

Etta Burke Aycock Carlisle, 92, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Carolina Rest Home.

She was born October 7, 1920 to the late William Thomas Burke and Lucy Connor Burke Jones in Rosemary, NC which was later incorporated into Roanoke Rapids, NC.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Luther Ernest Aycock and her second husband Ollie Alvin Carlisle.

She was a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School with the class of 1940. She was a charter member of Central Baptist Church and church clerk from March 1994 until March 2002.

She is survived by one son: Grover Thomas Aycock and his wife Maryann of Zebulon, NC; two grandsons: Jeffery Thomas Aycock and his wife Stephania of Warrenton, NC and Kyle Westley Aycock veteran of the U.S. Navy and his wife Roberta Lynn Palanzi ; two great grandchildren: Kelsi Laine Aycock and Ashton Thomas Aycock.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2012, in Old Cedarwood Cemetery with Pastor Maurice Wheat officiating. The family will receive friends from12:30 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
