Estelle Theresa "Bobbie" Rauhe

Estelle Theresa Bobbie Rauhe, 80, formerly of 1018 Carolina Avenue, Roanoke Rapids, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Britthaven of Enfield.

Mrs. Rauhe was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of Good News Baptist Church and loved her Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. She loved her cats and was a good friend and neighbor, loved baking desserts and giving them away. She was nanny to a lot of kids.

She was born July 20, 1930, to the late James Bendall and Margaret Agnes Lindamood Bendall. She was also predeceased by two sisters: Anne and Frances Bendall.

She is survived by her children: Cherri Steadman and husband, Tommy, of Roanoke Rapids; Donna Cook and husband, Dan, of Lake Gaston; John D. Rauhe of Roanoke Rapids; Fred Rauhe of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Scott Rauhe of Burlington, N. C.; her brother: Richard Bendall of Sun City, Arizona; her grandchildren: Renee Peterson, of Northfield, New Jersey, Mark Mitchell of Lake Gaston; Heather Miles and Chris Rauhe of Roanoke Rapids; Rebecca Rauhe, Cullowhee; and Bryce Rauhe of Greenville; her great- grandchildren: Samantha and Taylor Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2010, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, at 2:00 P.M. conducted by Rev. Randy Martin. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. preceding the funeral service.
