Elsie "Polly" Dickens Floyd

Elsie Polly Dickens Floyd, aged 79, of 1419 South Main Street, Wake Forest, N.C. formerly of Aurelian Springs died Tuesday October 27, 2009 at Wake Medical Center.She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and very determined and strong willed. She attended Aurelian Springs School and loved gardening and farming. She was the daughter of the late W. C. Dickens and Elsie Crawley Dickens. She was also preceded in death by her half brothers and sister: Teddy, Russell Lee, Fletcher, Milton, Algier, Judge, Willis and Patty Dickens.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Ronnie Floyd of Wake Forest, her daughters Sylvia Keilberg and family of Texas and Tiffany Floyd of the home. Graveside services will be held Sunday November 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Floyd Family Cemetery, Aurelian Springs.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 1:30-2:30 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Services who is handling the arrangements. Memorials donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Heart Association-P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Virginia, 23058-5216.
