Ellen Baker Wagner

Ellen Baker Wagner, 97, formerly a 15 year resident of Hertford, died April 14, 2020 in her Roanoke Rapids home. She was born in Alliance, OH on September 18, 1922, to Warren and Zella Lower Baker. Her parents, and husband, Glen Wagner, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Wagner was a 40 years plus resident of Norfolk and retired from the NOB Navy Exchange in Norfolk. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 126 in Hertford, and AmVets Post 101 in Roanoke Rapids. She loved playing cards, working in her flower garden and was an avid bowler.

Surviving is her daughter, Patricia Cullipher of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Scott Lewis, Kimberly Blevins (Gary); great-granddaughter, Brandy Gilpin (Gene); and two great-great grandchildren, Zoe and Jackson Gilpin.

Mrs. Wagner will be cremated and her remains will be placed beside her husband in Rosewood Cemetery in Virginia Beach.
