Elizabeth Brewer Moss

Elizabeth Brewer Moss, 79, died Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Liberty Commons, in Weldon.

Mrs. Moss was a member of Park Baptist Church which she dearly loved and she loved going to her church. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and all kinds of crafts.

She was born October 23, 1930, to the late Grady Brewer and Martha Murphy Brewer, and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Gantt, and her brother, Grady Brewer, Jr.

She is survived by two sons: Allen Moss and Tommy Moss, and one daughter, Etta Moss and her husband, John Denton, all of Roanoke Rapids; her sister: Mary Frances Strayhorn and husband, Bill, of Durham; her grandchildren: Dennis Gantt, Jr. Sheri Beals, James, Christy, Matthew; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 , at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service conducted by Dr. Julian R, Mills, Sr. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. and other times at 1018 Franklin Street.
