Eileen Taylor Rowland

Eileen Taylor Rowland, 80, died Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022.

Eileen was born October 19, 1942 in Halifax County to Joseph Pender Taylor and Nancy Bass Taylor.

Her parents; her husband, Dennis M. Rowland, Sr; and siblings, Joe Taylor, Kathleen Gupton, Grace Crowder, Robert Taylor and Adele Fox all preceded Eileen in death.

Eileen was a member of Victory Baptist Church.  She was a secretary and spent her career working with various companies in Roanoke Rapids.

Survivors include her two sons, Dennis M. Rowland, Jr. (Sue) of St. Peters, MO, Steve Rowland (Diana) of High Point, NC;   grandchildren, Justin Rowland (Elizabeth), Canyon Rowland, Tucker Rowland; great-grandchildren, Gregory Rowland, Thomas Rowland, Matthew Rowland, Elijah Rowland, Isabella Rowland, Andrew Rowland; as well as nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 1:00 – 1:45 pm at Victory Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary.  Pastor Jeremy Kobernat will preside.  Burial will follow in Quankie Baptist Church Cemetery.
