Edward Bradford “Eddie Buck” Liles passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.
Eddie was born in Halifax County on June 22, 1950, to the late John R. Liles, Jr. and Ruby Lee Tharrington Liles. Eddie was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister, John R. Liles, III, Charles Herbert Liles, James “Jimmy” Liles, Harold D. Liles and Vicki Liles Lancaster.
Eddie was a lifelong farmer, a member of Tabor Methodist Church and Community Hunting Club. He also was an avid Carolina fan and had a great love of American Antique Cars.
Eddie is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Kathy S. Liles; his children, James Liles of Roanoke Rapids, Jesse Brett Liles and his wife Nichole and Amy Liles Copeland and her husband Joey both of Aurelian Springs; his sister, Sue Duke of Aurelian Springs; two grandchildren, Briar Whitfield Copeland and Brynley Gracyn Copeland; his step-grandchildren, Kasey and Kaley Copeland, Brionna King and her husband Jacob, Caitlyn Gibson and Aubrey Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Tabor Methodist Church with Pastor Nancy Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Hawkins Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service and other times at the home.
