Drue Solomon "Ds" Shearin Jr

Drue Solomon D.S. Shearin, Jr., died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Rich Square Health Care Center.

Mr. Shearin was born June 12, 1922 in Halifax County to the late Drue Shearin, Sr. and Callie Shearin. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shearin is preceded in death by his wife Sallie Shearin, his daughter Betty Lee, and a half-brother James Shearin. Mr. Shearin is survived by his daughter Elaine Shearin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor D.A. Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Enterprise Baptist Church in Littleton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to 1st Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Box 1508 Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.
