Douglas Arthur Lyles

Douglas Arthur Lyles, 58, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Lyles was born December 2, 1954 to Elizabeth Lyles and the late Maynard Lyles. Douglas attended Victory Baptist Church with a cherished Uncle, Walter Watts and his wife Betty.

Douglas is survived by one son Adam Raper of Sanford, NC; and one daughter Shannon Elizabeth Lyles of Raleigh, NC; four brothers, Danny Lyles and wife Diana; Wayne Lyles and wife Brenda; Alvin Lyles and wife Sheri; Allen Lyles and wife Martha all of Roanoke Rapids. He is also survived by his uncles, Rupert Lyles and wife Margaret; Gene Watts and wife Betty; Jessie Watts and wife Mary Ann; Wilbur Watts and wife Joyce and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Cedarwood Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Pastor Michael Jones, officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and all other times at 748 Charlotte St., Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870..
