Dorothy Parks

Dorothy Parks, 70 of Justice Branch Rd. Littleton, died Thursday, April 02, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Parks was born August 18, 1944 in Louisville Kentucky to the late James Kenneth and Myrtle Strater Watson. She loved reading, sewing, and cooking. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Rudolph Banty and her second husband Ashley Parks. She is survived by her son Michael Banty and wife Melinda of Durham; her daughters Shawn Walker and husband Nathaniel of Littleton; Regina Banty of Roxboro; and Anita Godsey of Roanoke Rapids; She is also survived by her grandchildren Cameren Walker; Brad Godsey and wife Samantha; Felicia Mitchell; Jennifer Mitchell; Katelyn Banty; Phillip Cordero; and Crystal Cordero; and several great-grandchildren. The family would also like to share a heartfelt and gracious thank you to Shirlene Tillery, a special friend and caretaker of 20 years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 PM prior to the service also at the funeral home.
