Dorothy Elizabeth Barnette Schulz

Dorothy Elizabeth Barnette Schulz, 68 of Dear Trail Lane, Black Creek, NC, formerly of Weldon , died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Wilmed Nursing Care Center in Wilson.

She was born December 23, 1943 in Edgecombe County to the late Daniel A. Barnett and Pauline Green Barnett. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister; Mildred Newcomb: three brothers; Milton Barnett, Marion Barnett and Joe Barnett.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and sister. She loved people and had many good friends.

She is survived by a daughter; Debra D. Parrish: two grandchildren; Amanda Parrish and Daniel Drewyer: three brothers; Steve Barnett of Indian Head, MD, Calvin Barnett of Pensacola, FL and Cecil Barnett of Roanoke Rapids: sister; Christine Pridgen of Black Creek, NC

A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
