Doris Pepper Duff, 78, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her home.
Doris was born April 17, 1948, in Prince George County, Virginia to the late Donald Vaughan and Susie West Carter. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Vaughan and Bubba Carter.
Doris was employed with First Citizens Bank for a number of years and then with Landura Management, managing apartments in Roanoke Rapids, including Fairfield Apts, Fair Meadows, Windchase, Old Farm and Laurel Glen for 36 years. Doris attended Central Baptist Church and loved the Lord.
Doris is survived by her husband of 35 years Eddie Duff, her sons, David Pepper, Jr. of Wilson, NC, Brock Pepper (Leah) of Roanoke Rapids, Eric Duff (Jessica) of Tarboro, Felicia Hussey (Jeff) of Pikeville, NC, Shanita Andrews (Sammy) of Tarboro, NC; her grandchildren, Peyton Pepper, Avery Pepper, Lily Kate Pepper, Selena Pepper (Brandon), Jenna (Nathan), Glyder, Mara (Qassim), James, Bricen (Emily), Matthew, Erica, Savannah, Angel Andrews, Phillip Tondee; great-grandchildren, Levi Carr, Everleigh Gibson; her sister, Sissy Carter; special niece, Amanda Marie Hardy; great niece, Diamond; her special fur baby Cupcake and her best friend Phyllis Stanfield.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Tondee officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
