Donnie Ray Vaughan

Donnie Ray Vaughan, 66, died in Rocky Mount, NC at UNC Health Hospital Monday, October 10, 2022, formerly Nash General Hospital.

He was born in Warren County, NC, son to the late Fred Holden Vaughan and Nellie Overby Vaughan.  In addition to his parents, Donnie Ray is preceded in death by, Nellie and William Shearin, and his brother, Charlie Vaughan.

Surviving is his wife, Odell Rita Vaughan; daughter, Lisa Bradley and husband, Michael, of Gaston; 5 grandchidren; brothers, Fred Vaughan and wife, Angela and Jackie Vaughan and wife, Ann, all of Gaston; sisters, Linda Harris and husband, Mike, of Gaston, Mary Baird and husband, Buddy, of Emporia, Betsy Carter and husband, Dale, of Littleton, Donna Golden of South Carolina, and Rebecca Shearin and husband, Roy of Gaston. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Mark Wethington will conduct a graveside service, Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11:00 am, in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery and the family will receive friends, Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 6-8 pm at Hockaday Funeral Service.
