Donna Marie Peterson

Donna Marie Peterson of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully at ECU-North hospital on Friday February 2, 2024.  Donna was born on April 11, 1959, in Richmond, Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Allen and Helen Ann Bowden.

Donna is survived by her husband James “Chuck” Peterson, her daughters Melissa Ann Johnson, Elizabeth Megan Johnson and Shelia Marie (Leonard Jr) Love, step-children James Ray Peterson, Cody Alston Peterson and Ruby Diane Peterson, her brother Christopher Allen Bowden, sisters Teresa Ann (Wayne) Dunn, Judy (Stanley) Wright, grandchildren Shawn Johnson, Timothy Banty, Angela (Luke) Riggan, Hailey Partin, Taylor Mitchell, Aaron (Kadence) Love, Thomas Mitchell, Leigh Ann Cook, Andrew Johnson, Brendan Love and Brooklyn Wyrick, great grandchildren Nova Love, Lucas Riggan, Amelia Banty, Jackson Smiley, Elijah Smith, London Ray, Skylar Johnson and Paxton Jonhson. Her dogs Precious “Baby Girl” and Darla “Monk Monk”.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2023 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Jimmy King officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com .
