Doniphan Saunders Browder, Jr.

Doniphan “Don” Saunders Browder, Jr. of Weldon, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in ECU North Hospital. Mr. Browder was born in Warren County on August 17, 1931, the son of the late Katie Pilley and Doniphan Saunders Browder, Sr. He was the widow of that late Vivian Louise Browder and was also preceded in death by his brothers Thadeus Hampton Browder and Hugh Everette Browder.

The Browder family would like to thank the staff of Liberty Hospice and ECU North Hospital as well as the personal caregivers that took great care of Mr. Browder.

Surviving include his sons: Gary Browder (Glenda) of Littleton, Swain Browder of Halifax and Keith Browder (Patsy) of Roanoke Rapids; his daughters: Donna Bailey (Richard) of Roanoke Rapids and Tina Garvey (Victor) of Halifax; his sisters-in-law Sandra Browder and Sue Browder; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Good News Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy King officiating.
