Donald Dickson Morris

Donald Dickson Morris, 79, of Roanoke Rapids died August 10, 2021.

Mr. Morris was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 1, 1942, the son of Robert Charles Morris and Isabell Dickson Morris, both whom preceded him in death.

A retired machinist, his first love was airplanes and flying, closely followed by astronomy, photography and his family.  He enjoyed building and using telescopes, and had a great sense of humor.

Mr. Morris was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses East Wake Forest Congregation.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hathaway Morris; mother-in-law, Katherine Byrum Hathaway; his in-laws, Deborah Girdley (Ron), Curtis Hathaway, Jr., and Tanya Mason; and numerous nieces and nephews.

No public service will be held.

Arrangements are under the care of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.
