David Wayne Hargrave

David Wayne Hargrave, 36, of Rocky Mount (formerly of Roanoke Rapids) died October 28, 2018.

David was born in Halifax County on January 26, 1982, to Teresa Jean Walker and Cliff Hargrave.  He was a graduate of Durham Culinary Arts School.  He enjoyed food service and bartending.  At the time of his death, David was working at Grandsons in Rocky Mount.  He was a hard worker, and never met a stranger.  David was an extreme fan of the Carolina Tar Heels.

Survivors include his adoptive father, David E. Madron; brothers, Robert Lee Hargrave (Brittney), Daniel Clifton Madron (Ryan King); 2 nieces, 2 nephews; father, Cliff Hargrave; grandparents, William and Elsie Conwell, Barbara Boseman (Bart), Wanda Madron; several aunts and uncles.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Walker; niece, Addison; and grandparents, David B. Madron, Nathaniel C. Hargrave, Sr, Robert Earl Walker.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Cedarwood Cemetery, with Dr. Bane Angle presiding. The family will greet friends following the service.
