David Wayne Conwell

David Wayne Conwell, 66, of Bridal Trail in Youngsville, died Sunday, August 18, 2019 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.

David was born in Halifax County on March 5, 1953, the son of David Graham Conwell and Josephine Harris Conwell, both of whom preceded him in death.

He attended the Church of God; he enjoyed all sports and liked to fish.  David was a retired construction superintendent.

Survivors include his brother, Mike Conwell; aunts, Ida Powell, Lillie Vaughn, Barbara Harris and Ida Conwell; uncle, Jackie Conwell; and also a number of cousins.

Friends may visit with the family from 12 noon until 1:30 pm Thursday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
