David Glenn Beam Jr

David Glenn Beam, Jr., 49 of Roanoke Rapids died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

David was born May 1, 1965 in Halifax County to David Beam, Sr. and Joan Wallace Beam Blanchard. He was preceded in death by his sister: Tina Hoover.

He was a man of faith, member in good standing of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church. David never met a stranger, would bring a smile to anyone that he met.He loved cooking, full of humor.Everyone wanted to know wheres David, he was the rock of the family and a problem solver.

David is survived by his wife: Denise Beam; his daughter: Jessica Beam; his father: David G. Beam, Sr.; his mother: Joan Blanchard and her husband Tim; his brother: Anthony Beam and his wife Leighann;his sister: Karen Schoonover all of Roanoke Rapids; his special companion Smokey; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Tony Smith officiating.Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service and other times at the home.
