Mr. Danny Nathan Lowe, 64, of Littleton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 after a short illness with lung cancer at Duke University Medical Center.
He was project manager of Weldon Steel, wherehe enjoyed his work but most of all loved the special time with all the employees. He began his career with Howell Steel where he became president of the company until its closing then he openedPiccolowes family restaurant in 1992.
Danny was a loving husband, caring father, and outstanding grandfather to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Lowe: his two daughters, Angie Moody (Andy) of Roanoke Rapids, and Lori Adkins (Jason Adkins) of Holly Springs. His grandchildren include, Brandon Moody, of Roanoke Rapids, Daniel Adkins and Lily Adkins of Holly Springs to all whom he was known as Gigee.
Danny demonstrated what Gods unconditional love looks like in every relationship he had. He was loved and will be missed by many.
A special private ceremony will be held with arrangements being handled by Hockaday Funeral Home.
Family and friends will be received at the home of Andy and Angie Moody, 385 Lake Pointe Drive, Roanoke Rapids.
A special thank-you to Dr. William Byrd and staff, Duke University Medical Center and staff, family, and friends for all the love, support, and treatment to Danny during his illness.
