Cynthia Lee Polston Ott, 58, of 1208 Crew Street died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Cindy loved her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved to read, East Carolina football and dearly loved the beach. The children at Belmont Elementary School were dear to her heart and she also loved Duke basketball. She also served her country for eight years in the U.S. Air Force.
She was predeceased by her father, William L. Billy Polston.
She is survived by her husband, Solomon Dewey Ott; her sons: B. J. Ott and wife, Eva, and Mikey Ott and wife, Amanda; her mother, Christine Chris Polston, all of Roanoke Rapids; her sisters: Libby Roberson and husband, Sherwood, of Darlington, and Tammy Whitley of Erwin, N. C.; her grandchild, Jillian Ott; her nieces and nephews: Brad and Daniel Roberson, Sophia, Christine, and Lacy Whitley and special cousin: Bucky Wrenn and wife Nita.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 7 8:30 P.M. at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service which is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 11, at 2:30 P. M. at Harvest Temple Pnetecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Norwood Starling officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
