Constance Whitt Shotwell

Constance Whitt Shotwell, 87, died at her home Monday, April 17, 2017.

Mrs. Shotwell was born July 21, 1929 in Halifax County, VA to the late Jack Holt and Lucy Z. Hudson Whitt. She was a dedicated pastors wife for 60 years and always had a smile on her face. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shotwell was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Walter E. Shotwell, Sr. and brothers, Armistead and Hensley Whitt.

Surviving are her sons, Walter E. Shotwell, Jr. and wife, Janice, of Roanoke Rapids and Rodney Scott Shotwell and wife, Anissa, of Gaston; daughter, Sharon Lynn Robinson of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, Jamie Ryan Shotwell and fianc, Kristen May, Jason Ross Shotwell and wife, Jesse, Sara Jessica Shotwell, Brandon Anthony Durance and wife, Abby. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Colton Grey Shotwell and Dexter Chillian Durance.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service from 6-8 pm. Dr. Julian Mills will conduct funeral services in the chapel at Hockaday Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
