Connie Mae Tippett Daniel, 84, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at ECU North Medical Center surrounded by family.

Connie was born March 20, 1942, in Roanoke Rapids to the late Leslie Mason Tippett and Martha Estelle Allen Tippett. Connie was also preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-five years Cliff Daniel (the love of her life); her brother Shelton A. Tippett; her grandson, Christopher Scott Ferrell and her niece, Christy Leigh Tippett.

Connie was the former part owner of Beautiful Creations Florist and worked in admissions at Halifax Regional Medical Center for years, prior to caring for her mother and mother-in-law. Her family, children and grandchildren were one of her greatest joys in life.

Connie is survived by her children, Amy Daniel Gray (Gene) of Roanoke Rapids, Timothy Mark Edwards (Mary Jo) of Sanford, NC, Gregory Wixon Edwards of Roanoke Rapids and Wendy Edwards Turner (Michael) of Gaston, NC; her stepdaughter, Debbie Ann Daniel (Bharat Jain) of Wake Forest, NC. Her 8 grandchildren, Timothy Mark Edwards, Jr. of Sanford, NC, Ashley Edwards Ashley (Brian) of Lillington, NC, Ryan Leslie Edwards (Stacie), Kendall Edwards (Tyler Shearin), Heather Ferrell Bailey (Brandon), Ashley F. Richards (Dave), Abby Dennis Bryant (Solomon) and Carter Ryan Harrell all of Roanoke Rapids; 13 great-grandchildren; two nephews, Tony Tippett (Krickett) and Robert Tippett (Christina).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
