Clyde “Buddy” Vincent Rowland Jr. of Littleton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at ECU-North Hospital on Monday January 26, 2026. Buddy was born on April 30, 1945, in Norfolk, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Midred Rowland, brother Robert Rowland and sister Ann Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Joady, sons Kevin Rowland, William Wisilosky (Jennifer), daughters Dana Stellner (Dan), April Sutherland, grandchildren Daniel, Alexander, Morgan, Chloe, Chandler and Caleb, great grandchildren Kaylee, William, Iver and Levi, and his cats “Walter” and “Willie”

Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he served his country in the United States Air Force and was a retired Department of Defense contractor. He loved his family, hunting, boating, being a “Master Chef” on his grill, and was a craftsman. Buddy hosted the neighborhood card night, making his famous "Buddy Bloodies", never met a stranger and loved helping other people.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday January 31, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
