Cleaton Frank Porch Sr

Cleaton Frank Porch, Sr., 81 of Weldon passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Porch was born July 31, 1934 in Northampton County to the late Curtis Porch, Sr. and Ida Hobbs Porch.He was preceded in death his wife: Alice Sykes Porch; his grandson: Woody Bowman; his sisters: Maxine Porch Dowles, Frances Porch Mangum; his brother: Walter Keeter Porch.

He was former Assistant Fire Chief in Weldon, Heating and air serviceman with McGee Oil Company, worked with P & E Auto Mechanics and he loved working on lawn mowers.

He is survived by his children: Cathy Bowman Albertson and her husband Doug; Sharon Baker and her husband Cleve and Cleaton Frank Porch Frankie and his wife Judi; his brother Curtis Porch, Jr. and his wife Jane; his sister: Mildred Porch; his sister-in-law: Dru Spence Porch; his brother-in-law: Marson Wayne Sykes and his wife Bonnie; his grandchildren: Jessica Bowman Boyer and her husband Ross, Sarah Christian Baker, Alison Lyndi Baker, Jesse Warren Player Baker and his wife Tracy, Brooke Exline Hudson and her husband Brent, Christopher Porch and his fianc Victoria Burger and Katlynn Porch; his great grandchildren: Daniel Boyer, Alyssa Baker, Tristen Balenger, Sean Baker, Levi Hudson and Bennett Baker; his precious dog Maggie Mae aka Brownie; and a special friend Jimmy Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Larry Matthews officiating.Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 8:30 P.M. Saturday, March 6, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, Sharon Baker..
