Christopher "Chris" Lyle Mckinney

Christopher “Chris” Lyle McKinney, 61, of Swan Quarter passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, in Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern.

Mr. McKinney was born on November 2, 1961, in Roanoke Rapids, the son of the late Mary Elizabeth Fisher and Wilbur “Bill” Ross McKinney.  He was also preceded by his brother Dwight McKinney.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth “Beth” McKinney, his two daughters, Sandra Kay Miletello of West Monroe, LA and Brandi McKinney Paine (Michael) of Elm City; his stepson Jacob Hebert of Wake Forest; his stepdaughter Jennifer Hebert of Jeffersonville, IN; his sisters: Trudi McKinney Taylor of Roanoke Rapids, Lanette Ritter of Camden, and Ava “Libby” McKinney of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren Drake Miletello, Avery Miletello, MacKenzie Paine, and Eva Paine.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Ken Arrington officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Following the service at the cemetery the family will be having a Celebration of Chris' life in the fellowship of Victory Baptist Church.
