Chester Alfred Proctor Jr

Chester Alfred Al Proctor, Jr., 56, of Washington St., Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his home. Al was born January 28, 1957 in Halifax County to the late Chester Alfred Proctor, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Proctor. When he was younger Al was involved with the Roanoke Valley Rescue Squad as one of the first junior members, and he was also involved with FFA. Al loved his children, grandchildren, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his sons; John Proctor and wife Ellen of Wilmington; Alex Ansley and wife Wendy of Roanoke Rapids; Chris Ansley and wife Dasha of Fort Bragg; and Brandon Smith and wife Ashton of Roanoke Rapids. His daughter, Cherree Peterson and husband Jacob of Cary; His fianc Darlene Twisdale of Roanoke Rapids; His sister Mary Floyd of Gaston; 9 grandchildren and many close friends.

A memorial service celebrating Als life will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 at South Rosemary Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy King officiating..
