Charles Lindbergh Taylor, Jr.

Charles Lindbergh Taylor, Jr., 68, died Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021 in his Roanoke Rapids home.

Charles was born in Halifax County on March 13, 1953, a son of Charles L. Taylor, Sr., and Eula Dean Manning Taylor.  His parents; and his brother, Jesse Taylor, preceded him in death.

Charles served in the US Army.  He retired from JP Stevens / Bibb textiles, then worked for 15 years with WalMart.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Taylor and Brian Taylor; former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Taylor; grandchildren, CJ Taylor, Amber Taylor, Lilly Taylor and Hailey Young; and sisters, Pam Taylor and Sarah Edwards.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service. At other times, friends may visit at 85 Jackson Street in Roanoke Rapids.

The funeral service for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon in the funeral home chapel.  Mr. Taylor will be cremated following the service, and interment will be private.
