Catherine Ann Stephenson Davis, 92, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh.

Catherine was born in Johnston County on June 23, 1934, to the late James Valton Stephenson and Mae Gertrude Benson Stephenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mason Davis and her sister, Barbara Jean Scoggins.

Catherine loved music, going to the beach, especially Emerald Isle. She was also well known for her sense of humor and style.

Catherine is survived by her children, Kimberly Davis Kearney and her husband George of Raleigh and Stephen Ray Davis of Roanoke Rapids; her brother, James Edward Stephenson and his wife Shirley of Benson; her grandchildren, Wesley Brown and Jesse Ray Davis and her four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 1, 2026, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
