Catherine H. And Donald E. Hudson

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, service plans for Mr. and Mrs. Hudson have been revised as of today (Wednesday, October 17).

A memorial service for Catherine Harris Hudson and Donald Eugene Hudson, former Weldon residents, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

A private burial will be held following the service.

Catherine died July 4, 2018 and Donald died August 22, 2018; both in Wilmington, where they had resided for some time.

Catherine was the daughter of Marvin Harris, Sr. and Corrinne "Sweet" Creel Harris.  Donald was the son of Ray and Eula Harris.  They met and later married while attending Weldon United Methodist Church.

Catherine and Donald are survived by their daughters, Donna Sims, Rebecca Souther (Martin) and Linda Batten (Harry); six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Catherine is also survived by her brothers, Henry "Sonny" Harris and wife Marie, of Weldon and Marvin Harris and wife Lou, of Roanoke Rapids.

Donald is also survived by his brother, William Earl Harris and wife Kayla, of Georgia.
