Carl Mack Mims

Carl Mack Mims, 81, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center in Wilson.

Mr. Mims was born on February 15, 1942, in Clarendon County, SC, the son of the late Elizabeth “Lizzie” Amerson Mims and Carl Bethea Mims.   He was also preceded by his sisters:  Patricia “Patsy” Hildebrand, Margaret M. Morris, and Mary M. Welch and his brother Winfield “Doc” Mims.

Surviving include his wife Judy Kaye Harvin; his daughter Ginnie Mims Davis (Brian) of Roanoke Rapids, his son Buck Mims (Kimberly) of Aberdeen; his sister Elizabeth “Muntzie” Britt (Richard) of South Carolina; his grandchildren:  Michael Park (Adrianna), Koty Davis (Kayla), Halie Davis Pike (Justin), Brooke Brabrant, and Josh Brabrant; and his great grandchildren:  Nora Park, Hazel Pike, and Kennedy Davis.

A Private Celebration of Mr. Mims life will be held with his family.  Burial will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery.  Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.hockadayfs.com .
