Brenda Rook Mahaffey

Brenda Rook Mahaffey 78 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday February 15, 2024.  Brenda was born on January 4, 1946, in Roanoke Rapids.  She was preceded in death her husband Freddie Lee Mahaffey, her parents Elmer L. and Edith K. Rook and her sister Faye Rook.

Brenda is survived by her son Tony (Angie) Mahaffey, her daughter Shelly Wright, her brothers Elmer “Dickie” (Kaye) Rook Jr. of Winterville, Larry (Betty) Rook of Pikeville and Clyde Rook of Washington. Grandchildren Megan Mahaffey (Chris Turner), Seth Mahaffey and Kale Olnhausen, great grandchildren Lil’ Matt and Dawson Turner. Her extended family Connie and Becky Bolling.

She was a member of Roanoke Rapids Church of God; she loved flowers and hummingbirds.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Roanoke Rapids Church of God with Pastor Timothy Dean officiating, visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and interment will follow the service at Cedarwood Cemetery.
